You can help ensure every patient receives exceptional care, when it matters most.
Every day, patients and families across the Wellington region rely on our hospitals during some of life's most important moments.
A newborn taking their first breath. A child receiving specialist care. A family navigating a cancer diagnosis.
Government funding only stretches so far. Many important pieces of equipment, patient support programmes, specialist resources and family focused initiatives rely on community support.
Your donation helps fund life-saving equipment and research, specialist training, patient support services and the small comforts that make our hospitals places of care, hope and healing.
The power of community
From the moment a patient enters hospital to the day they return home, you can help ensure they have access to the equipment, expertise and support they need throughout their journey.
$160+ million
Funding and in-kind support donated by our community since 2005.
14,900+
Hand crafted items lovingly made by volunteers for newborn babies in the past year alone.
690+
Active volunteers supporting our hospitals, patients and their whānau.
Give to more than a hospital. Give to the moments that matter.
The Wellington Hospitals Foundation exists to help our hospitals go beyond what public funding alone can provide.
Every project we support has one thing in common: helping patients and families.
- Life-saving medical equipment and technology
- Specialist training for medical staff
- Hospital environments that help patients and family feel safe, and support the very best care.
Your support helps our hospitals care for every patient, every day
The equipment that helped save her future
Expert care when every second counts
The clock was ticking as Joe was rushed to Wellington Regional Hospital.
In the ICU, surgical teams repaired multiple fractures, in the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory, specialist cardiologists implanted a pacemaker and inserted a stent to support his heart.
A place where she felt safe again
Thank you to all of our supporters for helping improve hospital care across the Wellington region.
